    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

INO80 (F2I3E) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total INO80 protein. This antibody detects bands of unknown origin at 145, 55, and 50 kDa.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gly1547 of human INO80 protein.

    Background

The INO80 complex is an ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex critical for many functions, including transcriptional regulation and DNA repair. INO80 is a large multi-subunit complex consisting of the key ATPase INO80 along with RUVBL1, RUVBL2, ARP4/5/8, and others (1-3). INO80 prefers binding to hexasomes and can facilitate the exchange of H2A.Z/H2B dimers with H2A/H2B (4-6). The INO80 complex is recruited to double-strand breaks (DSBs) through interaction between gamma-H2AX and complex member NHP10 (7,8). INO80 also plays an important role in transcription as it is required for proper pausing of RNA polymerase II (9).
