Green Chemistry

Green chemistry is an important step to reduce our hazardous waste, and the impact on the environment that results from use of various chemicals and substances necessary for research.

An internal CST team continually reviews processes and explores opportunities for improvement. Labs at CST have reduced or eliminated the use of hazardous chemicals like formaldehyde and dimethylformamide through process changes, and have implemented utilization of less hazardous alternatives. Green chemistry education for our scientists and our industry is vital to move forward with healthier processes for people and the planet.
