Product Information

Product Description

This Cell Signaling Technology antibody is conjugated to PE under optimal conditions and tested in-house for direct flow cytometric analysis in mouse cells.

Product Usage Information

Dilute this control antibody to the same concentration (not dilution) as the specific antibody used in analysis. See product vial or Certificate of Analysis for antibody concentrations.

Storage

Supplied in 10 mM NaH2PO4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.09% NaN3, 0.1% gelatin, pH 7.2. This product is stable for 12 months when stored at 4ºC. Do not aliquot the antibody. Protect from light. Do not freeze.

Specificity / Sensitivity

The antibody is not directed against any known antigen. It functions as an isotype control for rat monoclonal antibodies.

Background

Isotype control antibodies are used to estimate the nonspecific binding of target primary antibodies due to Fc receptor binding or other protein-protein interactions. An isotype control antibody should have the same immunoglobulin type and be used at the same concentration as the test antibody.
