    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

CXCL13 (F6A4R) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total CXCL13 protein. This antibody detects 58 and 75 kDa bands of unknown origin in some cell lines.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human CXCL13 protein.

    Background

C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 13 (CXCL13), also known as B cell-attracting chemokine 1 (BCA-1), is a chemokine expressed primarily by follicular dendritic cells of secondary lymphoid organs such as lymph nodes (LNs), Peyer’s patches, and spleen (1,2). CXCL13 is the ligand for CXCR5, and upon binding, the CXCL13/CXCR5 axis is required for B cell activation, migration, and homeostasis (1-4). Dysregulated CXCL13 expression has been associated with autoimmunity, cancer, and infectious diseases, making it a potential therapeutic target (5).
