Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with recombinant protein specific to the carboxy terminus of human CCPG1 protein.

Background

CCPG1 (cell cycle progression protein 1) was originally identified as a scaffold protein for Rho- specific guanine nucleotide exchange specificity (1). More recently it has been shown to play an important role in ER homeostasis by functioning as a cargo receptor for ER selective autophagy, termed ER-phagy (2). CCPG1 is localized to the ER and is induced by stress (2, 3). It associates with components of autophagy including LC3 family members and the FIP200, a component of the ULK1 complex, facilitating the trafficking of the ER to the autophagosome (2).
