    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

CD64/FcγRIA (E6I4Z) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total CD64/FcγRIA protein. This antibody does not cross-react with FcγRIB protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with recombinant protein specific to the central region of human CD64/FcγRIA protein.

    Background

CD64/FcγRI (high affinity IgG Fc gamma RI) is an activating Fcγ receptor in the immunoglobulin superfamily, predominantly found on macrophages and monocytes (1-4). CD64 has a high affinity for the antibody-constant region of IgG, with three extracellular Ig-like domains (3). After binding IgG, CD64 interacts with an accessory chain known as the FcR common γ chain (FcRγ), which possesses an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM) that is necessary for triggering cellular activation (2,3).
