    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human DELE1 protein.

    Background

DAP3-binding cell death enhancer 1 (DELE1) is a protein kinase activator that responds to mitochondrial stress as part of the integrated stress response (ISR) (1-4). The OMA1-DELE1-HRI ISR pathway is activated by cellular stressors such as iron deficiency, causing OMA1 to cleave DELE1 into a short form (DELE1(S) or S-DELE1), which accumulates in the cytosol and activates the protein kinase activity of EIF2AK1/HRI (1-4). Under stable cell conditions, DELE1 is quickly degraded (4).
