    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with mouse FcεRIA recombinant protein.

    Background

FcεRI, the high affinity IgE receptor complex, is made up of an α-chain, a β-chain, and a homodimer of two disulphide-linked γ-chains (1-4). It is expressed by mast cells, basophils, and antigen-presenting cells (1-4). The α-chain, FcεRIA, binds the Fc portion of IgE, which initiates antigenic crosslinking and leads to an allergic response, resulting in secretion of molecules such as interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor-necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) (1-5).
