    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

Glu-Glu Tag (F3Z5J) Rabbit mAb detects recombinant proteins containing the Glu-Glu epitope tag. The antibody recognizes the Glu-Glu sequence fused to either the amino or carboxy terminus of targeted proteins in transfected cells. Glu-Glu Tag (F3Z5J) Rabbit mAb detects exogenously expressed Glu-Glu-tagged proteins in cells expressed under a CMV promoter. Expression under other promoters has not been evaluated. This antibody may detect a band of unknown origin at 30 kDa in some rodent cell lines.

    All Species Expected

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic Glu-Glu tag peptide.

    Background

Epitope tags are useful for the labeling and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunostaining techniques. Because of their small size, they are unlikely to affect the tagged protein’s biochemical properties.
