    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

GPR64 (E9D4X) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total GPR64 protein. Species reactivity for immunofluorescence is human only.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse

The antigen sequence used to produce this antibody shares 100% sequence homology with the species listed here, but reactivity has not been tested or confirmed to work by CST. Use of this product with these species is not covered under our Product Performance Guarantee.

Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology:

    Rat

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Leu520 of human GPR64 protein.

    Background

G protein-coupled receptor 64 (GPR64), also known as adhesion G protein-coupled receptor G2 (ADGRG2), is an orphan G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that was cloned from human epididymis (1). As with all GPCRs, GPR64 likely plays a role in transmitting signals from the extracellular environment and driving downstream signaling cascades that result in various physiological processes. GPR64’s specific physiological functions are currently unknown, but its expression is linked with several cancers and may drive tumor growth in cancers like Ewing sarcoma and endometrial cancer (2-4).
