    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

HDGF (E3P7K) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total HDGF protein. Based on the amino acid sequence of the antigenic peptide, this antibody is expected to recognize isoforms 1-3 of HDGF (HDGF-A, -B and -C).

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ala229 of human HDGF protein.

    Background

HDGF (hepatoma-derived growth factor) acts as both a transcription factor and a secreted protein to regulate multiple cellular functions such as transformation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, proliferation, and metastasis. HDGF is involved in the progression of multiple human cancers, and its elevated expression is a negative prognostic marker in cancer progression (1,2).
