    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

IFI6 (E8G9G) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total IFI6 protein. This antibody does not cross-react with other ISG12 family proteins.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human IFI6 protein.

    Background

Interferon alpha-inducible protein 6 (IFI6) belongs to the ISG12 family of proteins and is a small, multipass transmembrane protein localized to mitochondrial membranes (1,2). IFI6 is one of the first interferon-stimulated genes to be identified and research studies have shown that IFI6 regulates apoptotic signaling pathways triggered in response to type-I interferons (3,4). In addition, IFI6 participates in type-I interferon-mediated antiviral signaling by mitigating viral replication (5,6).
