    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

PTPRCAP (E8E6G) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total PTPRCAP protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human PTPRCAP protein.

    Background

Protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type C-associated protein (PTPRCAP/LPAP) is a transmembrane adaptor protein in which expression is restricted to cells of the T- and B-lineages (1). Research studies have demonstrated that PTPRCAP undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation in response to T cell activation and is a positive regulator of T cell function (2-4).
