SF3B4 Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total SF3B4 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey

    Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gly420 of human SF3B4 protein. Antibodies are purified by peptide affinity chromatography.

    Background

SF3B4 is part of the SF3b complex, which associates with the U2 snRNP component of the spliceosome and is essential for spliceosome assembly (1-3). SF3B4 can associate with BMPR-1A to inhibit BMP-mediated cell differentiation (4). Haploinsufficiency of SF3B4 has been described in Nager syndrome, a disease of craniofacial malformation condition (5,6). Increased copy number of SF3B4 has been shown to play a role in hepatocellular carcinoma progression (7-9).
