    Storage

Supplied in 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg/mL BSA, 50% glycerol, and less than 0.02% sodium azide. Store at –20°C. Do not aliquot the antibody.

    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

SRCAP (E9V8O) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total SRCAP protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Monkey

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro911 of human SRCAP protein.

    Background

Snf2-Related CBP Activator Protein (SRCAP) is an ATPase that exists in a large complex that activates transcription by enhancing CBP activity and by depositing H2A.Z into nucleosomes (1-3). SRCAP can enhance nuclear receptor function along with CARM-1 and GRIP-1 (4). In prostate cancer, SRCAP associates with androgen receptor to control prostate specific antigen expression and increase cell growth (5). During double-stranded break repair, SRCAP is required for DNA-end resection and RAD51 recruitment (6). Mutations in SRCAP result in a developmental disorder called Floating-Harbor syndrome (7,8). SRCAP also plays a role in viral infection as it has been shown to interact with various viral proteins (9,10).
