Chromatin Profiling Just Got Faster with CUT&Tag
CUT&Tag (Cleavage Under Targets and Tagmentation) is a novel chromatin profiling technique that utilizes pAG-Tn5, a primary antibody, and a secondary antibody to unravel protein-DNA interactions across the genome. Unlike ChIP-seq, CUT&Tag does not rely on immunoprecipitation, requiring significantly fewer cells or tissue per individual assay. It also has an inherently lower background than ChIP-seq, so each sample does not have to be sequenced as deeply, and it is possible to include more samples in your next-generation sequencing (NGS) flow cell lane. <br/>When compared to ChIP-seq, CUT&Tag delivers:
- Time-savings: ~50% faster chromatin profiling
- Sample-savings: ~40-fold less sample required
- Cost-savings: ~2M sequencing reads required per sample
